915 Wilshire

This building in downtown Los Angeles had an underutilized lobby space with a complicated journey from valet parking to main building floors. This made for difficult pedestrian and vehicular way finding. There is also noise infiltration on the 7th floor patio from the adjacent Interstate 110.

HLW used a luxury hospitality approach with respect to amenities and materiality. We accentuated the front door experience with the introduction of modern entry portals at two facades.

With simple use of glazing and continuity of material created fluidity from outdoor to indoor and we brightened up the area by create planting buffers at new outdoor seating and a new walk-up cafe.
