Kering Americas
Kering, the parent company of a number of luxury brands, engaged HLW to design the office space in their new headquarters facility that was relocated from Secaucus to Wayne, New Jersey. As part of a 416,000 sf warehouse distribution facility, the office area includes 45,000 sf on the ground level and 44,000 sf on a newly constructed mezzanine. The new office was designed to encompass four key aspects that were identified with Kering during the discovery process: Brand, Collaboration, Community and Wellbeing.
Aesthetically the new office needed to express the feel of the Kering brand – high class and classic luxury. Starting with a reception area that conveys a strong first impression to visitors through the space, the material palette is simple yet refined. A grand stair in the heart of the space acts as a well-lit central beacon in the office that connects the people of the organization while also bringing a sense of grandeur to the industrial nature of the warehouse building.
