Medicines Company
Headquartered in New Jersey, The Medicines Co. is focused on advancing the treatment of critical care patients through the delivery of innovative, cost-effective medicines to a global hospital marketplace. HLW provided workplace strategy and design services related to the company’s relocation to a new office space in Parsippany. We identified the need for a primarily private and introspective, yet also transparent, environment. Spaces for individuals to work alone are complemented by centrally located breakout areas, which we strategically positioned to encourage interaction among employees. We clustered private offices into small groupings. Sliding glass doors allow for some visual interplay between private and shared spaces while maintaining acoustical privacy.
