Union Bank Plaza
HLW was commissioned to renovate all public areas of this iconic 1968 landmark building in downtown Los Angeles. The stunning lobby update brings contemporary flair to the classic modern architecture of the building, while a new outdoor tenant amenity area connects the lobby with a renovated conference center and activates the upper plaza. Our intervention included the street-level plaza on the corner of 5th Street and Figueroa. New facades, canopy and extensive landscaping transform it into an urban garden that invites the public to wander in, hang out or enjoy the outdoor restaurant seating.
