Which?

Which?

HLW completed the new Which? HQ in central london. The ambitious project includes building a new roof garden & staff restaurant whilst renovating an existing building to a very high standard and introducing more collaborative and flexible ways of working. In this current project for Which? HLW have been working and coordinating with the architects KPF in order to provide a cohesive and highly adaptable workplace that meets the needs of Which’s business both at present and going forward.

HLW undertook a workplace strategy programme at the beginning of the project in order to ensure that the new workplace would effectively reflect the needs of the Which? employees. The company wanted a more collaborative and culturally dynamic workspace that showcases Which? to a wider visitor audience, reinforcing them as a leader in their industry and helping to support a creative culture. The building has had extensive remodelling work, including the removal of sections of the original 1980’s core in order to create space for an on site conference centre and more meeting room facilities.

The design has been carefully constructed in order to help connect the business through all tiers of the building, including a mixture of ‘studio’ and ‘gallery’ spaces which incorporate art into the collaboration and hosting zones. HLW has created a large variety of spaces within the building, with integrated technology, writable surfaces and multipurpose furniture. The overall effect is a workplace that is inspiring to work in and visit, which will aid the attraction and retention of top talent and serve to highlight the innovative nature of this influential company.
