Hofstra University’s new Science and Innovation Center sets the stage for a new era of interdisciplinary education. Located on the school’s East Campus (planned by HLW), the building will unite undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff from the nursing and engineering schools, creating a unique hub for biomedical science and innovation.

The design process was characterized by an extensive strategy and discovery phase, ensuring that diverse user-groups from the academic community had input into the project. This collaborative approach generated a design that supports the unique needs of both disciplines while promoting interaction and integration. The design incorporates advanced lighting solutions and thoughtful landscape architecture, enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of the learning environment. This project was designed in partnership with ASG Architects.

Certified LEED Silver, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and advanced lighting.
