Asset Management Client
HLW recently completed the design of this new office in the Victoria area of London. The client required a high-end yet innovative workplace that would better reflect their corporate identity, support their focused working culture and allow for future growth within the business.
After a thorough analysis of the building and the client’s need for confidentiality and privacy, HLW designed a highly cellular workspace with a wide selection of other areas to facilitate greater collaboration and informal interaction between staff. In addition to increased numbers of formal meeting rooms, a client lounge, social hub and agile touchdown spaces were introduced. An ‘avenue’-style primary circulation route was created to encourage an easy flow around the floorplate, with faceted fronts to the offices, creating an visually interesting feature to avoid a monolithic corridor effect. A new kitchen was provided to support both staff and visitors with high quality food offerings throughout the day. The social hub can be used for events, with integrated technology available to incorporate presentations when necessary and access to the adjacent outdoor terrace space with great views overlooking Victoria.
A neutral palette was selected, to create a warm, open and welcoming ambience interspersed with references to the angular architectural base-building design. The result is a professional, contemporary, sophisticated workspace that staff can feel proud to work in and which their clients enjoy spending time at.
