Schrödinger New York
Schrödinger, the life sciences and technology company, was looking to expand its New York City headquarters due to continued growth and their recent public offering.
Their new headquarters would need to support a unique organizational culture for scientists, researchers, and technology professionals. HLW’s in-house design strategy studio, Ark, was tasked with developing Schrödinger’s workplace strategy in order to validate their program requirements and establish the aesthetic direction for its future workplace design.
Our strategy team conducted a series of activities with Schrödinger’s leadership team to understand the unique project drivers and needs for their new headquarters. Their diverse teams work out of enclosed, shared spaces, which they wanted to preserve. HLW’s design is focused on balancing the necessary privacy and focus of their work culture while nurturing a sense of community in the new office space.
