Before We Design, Let’s Get A Vision

Designing space for your organization can be a little daunting; it requires significant amounts of time, money, and expertise. One critical element that’s often overlooked in the process is the need for a Vision. A project Vision is the big idea (or ideas) that define and give your design direction. The Vision captures high level goals and aspirations for the design – a mantra of sorts – that will ultimately come to define how users experience the space.

A project Vision doesn’t happen by itself. A Visioning Session with stakeholders and leadership is a great place to unearth project priorities and values that will serve as a consistent thread throughout the duration of the work. Visioning Sessions are a unique, interactive opportunity to bring together stakeholders to build consensus around big ideas, before the design process even begins.
